My name is Gary Sutherland and I’m a Hopeman man (it’s in Scotland, near the top). I’m the author of three books - Hunting Grounds, Great Balls of Fire, Golf on the Rocks - which can be classed as travel humour.
If you are to believe the critics, I have a ‘genuine gift for comic writing’ and my books are ‘bloody funny’ and ‘joyous’. So you should believe the critics then.
A former ice cream maker, shortbread maker and candy floss maker, I have cycled the length of Scotland and appeared on stage with Prince. I also appear regularly at book festivals without Prince.
